1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup flour
2 cups milk
6 1/2-oz. can tuna in water, drained and flaked
10-oz. package frozen peas and carrots (1 1/2 cups), cooked and drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worchester sauce
1 cup shredded American or Cheddar cheese

In heavy 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in onion and flour. Gradually stir in milk until well blended. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except for cheese. Heat through. Stir in cheese. Serve on toast.
