1 1/2 sticks butter unsalted, softened
1/2 c conf. sugar plus some for dusting
1/4c gran. sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp, grated lemon zest
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
2 c flour
1 scant prepared lemon curd

Directions:
Beat butter and sugars with mixer on med. speed until fluffy. Beat in eggs, lemon zest juice and vanilla. On low speed, beat in baking powder, then flour until mixed. Cover and chill for 1 hr. Place lemon curd in a small ziplock bag.
Heat oven to 350. Line sheet pans with parchment paper. Scant tbsp. dough rolled into ball, place 2 in. apart. With index finger make deep indent in center. Snip corner of ziplock bag and fill indentation. ( about 1 tsp,)
Bake 15 min or edges are light brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
