Jar of kosher dill pickles (whole)
¾ c sugar
¾ c water
¼ c cider vinegar
1 garlic clove (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Drain and slice pickles into ½ to ¾ inch slices, return to jar. In saucepan heat to boiling sugar, water and vinegar and optional garlic clove. Pour over pickles and let stand in refrigerator for at least 2 days. This amount of recipe will cover 1 quart of pickles. I usually buy a gallon jar and it takes 3 times the recipe to cover them.
