3 c. cut up cooked turkey (or chicken)
2 tbsps. sherry or apple juice
dash nutmeg
6 tbsps. butter
1 c. sliced mushrooms
2 tbsps. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
2 c. milk or 1/2 c. milk and 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 c. light cream
1/2 c. sliced pimentos
optional: 1 c. cooked peas

Directions:
Directions:
Place turkey (or chicken) in bowl with sherry and nutmeg. Melt butter and add mushrooms; sauté 4-5 minutes. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Blend thoroughly. Slowly stir in milk, stirring constantly. Add cream and cook 10 minutes over low heat. Add pimento, seasoned turkey, and peas. Heat thoroughly. Serve in patty shells.
