6 T. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. orange flavouring
1/8 tsp. lemon flavouring
1 lemon rind, grated
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. + 1 T. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 shakes of cloves

Glaze:
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Mix eggs with flavourings and lemon rind.
3. Add mix to creamed butter and sugar and blend.
4. Sift in flour, baking powder, salt and cloves and mix.
5. Beat for a minute or two.
6. Pour in milk and mix.
7. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350º F for an hour or until knife comes out clean.
8. Let cool in pan for 5-7 minutes.
9. Meanwhile, make glaze by combining lemon juice and sugar.
10. Pour slowly over cooled loaf while still in pan.
11. Leave in pan until glaze has absorbed.
12. Cool.
13. Wrap in foil.
14. Don’t cut for 24 hours.
