3/4 c. white chocolate, chopped or broken (or 1 1/2 squares white almond bark if can’t find chocolate)
1/2 c. hot water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. flaked coconut

Frosting:
3/4 c. white chocolate, chopped or broken (or 1 1/2 squares of white almond bark)
2 1/2 T. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cake:
1. In small saucepan, melt chocolate and hot water at low heat, then cool.
2. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, salt, butter, buttermilk.
3. Blend at low speed.
4. Then beat at medium speed for 1 minute.
5. Add eggs, then white chocolate mixture and vanilla.
6. Blend together.
7. Beat at medium speed for 1 minute.
8. Stir in nuts and coconut.
9. Pour batter in to two 9” greased pans, with flour on the bottom only.
10. Bake at 350º F for 30-35 minutes.
11. Cool for 15 minutes.
12. Loosen edges and carefully lift from pan.
13. Cool completely before putting frosting on.

Frosting:

1. In small saucepan, melt chocolate.
2. Combine chocolate and flour, then blend in milk.
3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is very thick.
4. Cool completely!!!!!
5. In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
6. Beat about 3 minutes.
7. Gradually add cooled white chocolate mixture.
8. Beat at high speed until consistency of whipped cream.
9. If you wish, sprinkle nuts on top.

The original recipe card was missing baking powder from the ingredient list, but it was mentioned in the directions, so I guessed at the amount and included it in the list of ingredients for the cake part of the recipe.
