2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 egg yolks
1/3 c. shortening (5 T.) vegetable shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
1. In medium heavy bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, milk, egg yolks, and shortening.
2. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans.
5. Cool 15 minutes.
6. Spread on top and between layers of a cake (not the sides).
