"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
¾ c vegetable shortening
1 scant teaspoon salt
½ tsp almond extract
¼ c milk
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put ingredients in large mixing bowl, beat until blended. Gradually add powdered sugar, beat about 2 minutes. Add enough powdered sugar to make it the right consistency to spread. If you must add more milk add a teaspoon at a time. Beat well.
If I am decorating I like the icing just a little stiffer so it will hold better. If using on chocolate cake do not add almond flavoring.
Will keep refrigerated for quite some time.
