2 lbs. beef chuck roast cubed 3 x 3"
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. pickling spices (place in a tea steeper)
1/2 c. olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 15 oz. can tomato
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
1 c. beef broth
2 1/2 lbs. boiling onions (cleaned & peeled)


Directions:
Directions:
In a large heavy pot, sauté chopped onions in olive oil until translucent, add beef chunks cook until golden brown.
Add tomato sauce, vinegar, beef broth and pickling spices in tea steeper. stir & cover. Simmer on medium heat for 1/2 hour.

Place pot into a preheated 350º oven cook for 1/2 hour.
Add the boiling onions and cook another 60 minutes.
*If needed add more water or beef broth.

**If you do not have a mesh teapot steeper, you can place spices into some kitchen gauze and tie into a knot. Just throw away before serving
