1 lb. ground meat or ground turkey
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
1 package spaghetti sauce mix (ex. Lawry's)
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. oregano
spaghetti (amount needed for people served)

Brown ground meat, onion, bell pepper, and garlic in large dutch oven or stew pot. Spoon off any excess fat. Mix in other ingredients. Bring to boil and then simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally to keep sauce from sticking to bottom of pan. Cook spaghetti according to package. Drain. Sauce can be spooned over individual servings of cooked spaghetti.
