1 quart of buttermilk or milk
1 or 2 T. minced garlic
2-3 pounds of chicken pieces
1 cup of flour
1 T. garlic powder
1tsp salt and pepper
2 cups of cooking oil ( I always cook with olive oil since it is healthy.)

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl stir together the buttermilk and garlic powder.

2. Add chicken to the milk mixture and soak chicken for at least 10 minutes.

3. In a plastic bag combine flour, salt and pepper.

4. Heat cooking oil over medium heat.

5. Add chicken to the flour mixture and shake and until chicken is coated with flour then add chicken to the cooking oil.

6. Cook chicken over medium heat for 10 minutes on each side and turn down heat to prevent from burning. Cook chicken until no longer pink in the center.
