1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup warm water
2 pkgs. yeast
2 eggs, beaten
6 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt, and margarine. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large mixing bowl. Sprinkle in yeast and stir until dissolved. Add lukewarm milk mixture, eggs, and half the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in additional flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic; about 10 minutes. Turn into greased bowl and let rise about 1 hour. Punch down and roll out about 1/2" thick. Cut out with doughnut cutter and place on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise for 1 more hour. Fry in deep fat 375º for 2-3 minutes turning half way through. Drain on paper toweling. Dip in sugar while warm or cool and frost.
