1 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cups flour
1 cup cooked prunes
1 cup nuts

Topping:
1 cup sugar
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together oil, buttermilk, sugar.
Beat in eggs, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, flour. Mix throughly then add:
1 cup prunes
1 cup nuts
Pour into well greased pan and bake at 300º for about 1 hr. or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center of cake. About 5 mins. before cake is done pour topping over top
Topping:
Mix ingredients and heat until well dissolved.
