Pecan Pie (Aunt Peg's) Recipe

1 1/2 c. pecans, halved
3 eggs
1 c. dark molasses (or Karo Dark Corn Syrup)
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp butter (or margarine) melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
1. Roll out pie shell and place in pie plate, unbaked.
2. Please pecan halves in any pattern in the pie shell. You can also place some in the edges of the unbaked pie shell.
3. Beat eggs lightly, then mix in molasses (corn syrup), sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
4. Gently pour this mixture into the unbaked pie shell.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350 degree and cook 30 to 35 minutes longer.

The filling should be slightly less set in the middle than around the edges. (Watch carefully - this pie burns easily!)
