Spaghetti sauce
A couple pounds hamburger
Onions
Garlic
Canned chopped tomatoes
Tomato paste
Tomato sauce
Mushrooms (fresh or canned)
Oregano
Rosemary
Basil
Bay leaf or two
Seasonings to taste
Lasagna noodles
1tsp butter
2 pints small curd cottage cheese
2 eggs
2T parsley
Salt and pepper
2 balls of mozzarella cheese sliced thin
Shredded Parmesan

Directions:
Directions:
Make spaghetti sauce from scratch and cook for hours (nothing measured). Use a couple pounds hamburger, browned with onions and garlic drain fat, add canned chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and tomato sauce until desired thickness. Add mushrooms (fresh or canned) oregano, rosemary, basil and bay leaf or two. Add seasonings to own taste

Boil lasagna noodles and drain. Mix together 1tsp butter, 2 pints sm. curd cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 2T parsley and salt and pepper

To assemble: I use a deep dish 13” inch baking pan. Put together in the following order: 1 layer sauce then layer of noodles, then layer of cottage cheese, and then layer mozzarella, sprinkle with parmesan. Continue layers until ingredients are gone finishing with sauce and parmesan

When ready to put it all together allow at least 1 hour for baking at 350. Let stand 20 minutes before serving.
