Ingredients:  
1 small to medium head of lettuce
1 cup coarsely chopped celery
2-4 green onions and stems chopped
¼ cup toasted slivered almonds *
1 Tbsp minced parsley
1 - 11 oz can mandarin oranges drained
1 avocado diced

* to toast almonds, brown in 400°F oven for 10 minutes.

Dressing:

¼ cup oil
2 Tbsp tarragon vinegar
¼ tsp tarragon
½-1 tsp salt
¼ tsp Tabasco sauce
2 Tbsp sugar
freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions:

Combine dressing ingredients.
Toss with salad.
