2 tins small beets, cube
4 medium potatoes (boil till just cooked,and cube)
5 hard boiled eggs
2 1/2 large dill pickles chop
ham - cubed, as much as beets
Refrigerate overnight

Add special dressing and salt and pepper as needed. Once dressing added needs to be eaten within 2 days.

Family recipe from the Holz family. Jacki's Grampa, Leopold Paul Holz was born in Ekatavinosolav, Russia in 1905. This is now Dnepropetrovsk,Ukraine. Often German/ Ukrainian salads have meat in them. The secret that can never be shared outside the family is the cooked salad dressing. This was a Christmas favourite of Pappa Jim Pope !
