1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
cherries(Whole from preserves)
3/4 cup chopped nuts, (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/4 cup sifted cake flour
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and cream butter, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, orange rind and lemon juice. Add flour and salt; mix. Chill until easy to handle. Form into 1 inch balls. Heat oven to 350. Dip balls in unbeaten egg white (Roll in nuts) Place on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Press cherry on top of each.Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until done.
