1 - 4 ounce Vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter softened
2 teaspoons salt
2 envelopes yeast
5 to 5 1/2 cups of flour
2 cans of cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
1. Make pudding on stove according to box directions using 1 1/2 cups milk
2. Remove from heat and stir in butter
3. Cool to lukewarm, stirring occasionally.
4. Dissolve yeast in warm water
5. Stir yeast mixture into pudding
6. Beat in eggs and salt
7. Add to flour, 1 cup at a time, until you make a moderately soft dough
8. Turn out onto floured surface and knead for 5 to 10 minutes
9. Put in greased bowl, turning dough once.
10. Let rise until double in size and then punch down
11. Form dough into balls (size of a walnut) and put on a greased cookie sheet 1 1/2 inches apart
12. Punch down each dough ball in center and fill hollow with pie filling
13. Let rise to double in size
14. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes until golden brown
15. Cool on rack and then drizzle with powdered sugar frosting
