3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 tsp. vanilla
Filling:
1 large bag chocolate chips
1 can condensed milk
1 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut shortening into dry ingredients with fork or pastry cutter. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. After dough is mixed, divide into two parts. Roll out dough like pie crust, then fill.
Filling:
Melt together in a pan over medium heat the chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir in nuts. Spread over dough. Roll like jelly roll. Place on cookie sheet, seam side down and tuck in ends to seal. Bake at 375º for 20 minutes until light golden brown. Cool, then cut into slices.
