1 chicken, cut up (or 6 chicken thighs)

Sauce:
1 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried basil or 1 T fresh basil
1 tsp. curry powder
1 medium onion
1 tsp. paprika
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Black olives, halved

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sauce ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over chicken and bake at 375 degrees until chicken is cooked through (about 1 hour).

Back in the ’70s my mom sent me a copy of a Jewish cookbook published in Eau Claire, which had lots of good recipes. The following recipe is adapted from that book. I’ve tweaked it a little over the years.
