4 oz self raising flour
4 oz castor sugar
4 oz butter
4 large eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until smooth, add eggs 1 at a time keep stirring until mixture is runny sift the flour slowly into mix until smooth.

Fill two 7 inch pie tins evenly with mixture bake in middle of oven for 35 or 40 mins until cakes feel firm to the touch turn out leave to cool on rack

When cool spread both with raspberry or strawberry jam (jelly) place on on top of the other Sprinkle with icing sugar slice and serve

gas mark 7 or electric 220
