1 1/2 lb. ground beef 80/20
1 large onion, chopped
8 cloves garlic, minced
3 large cans tomato sauce (28 oz.)
1 large can whole plum tomatoes (28 oz.)
1 small can tomato paste
3 tbsp. oregano leaves
2 tbsp. basil leaves
1 tbsp. thyme leaves
4 bay leaves
2 tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, add onion. Brown 5 minutes longer, add minced garlic and saute for an additional 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, whole tomatoes, tomato paste, all herbs and sugar.
Simmer sauce on cook top for 3-4 hours, or longer. Enjoy!
(If desired, a lb. of sweet Italian and hot Italian sausage can be added. Saute separately and drain grease before adding to the sauce).
