1/2 c. Water
1/2 stick (1 c.) Butter
1/2 c. Sifted Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
Confectioner's Sugar (for sprinkling)

Custard Sauce:
1 1/2 c. Milk (scalded)
3 tbsp. Sugar
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
2 Egg Yolks
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Boil water and add butter; stir until butter melts
Lower heat; combine flour and salt and add to butter mixture
Stir until mixture leaves the side of the pan
Remove from heat and cool
Add unbeaten eggs one at a time; stir well after each until paste is smooth
Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 35 minutes
When cool, slit and fill with custard and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar

Custard:
Combine hot milk, sugar and salt; stir until sugar dissolves
Beat eggs and egg yolks slightly; add milk mixture
Cook over hot water, stirring until mixture coats spoon
Add vanilla
Chill
