Bourbon Pecan Pie Recipe

4 eggs
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. Karo light syrup
1 c. packed brown sugar
4 T. butter- melted
1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. bourbon
1 T. flour
1 c, chopped pecans toasted
1/2 c. pecan halves
1 unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 375º. Roll out pie crust and flute edges. Place in refrigerator. Toast chopped pecans for 7 min. Place 4 eggs in a bowl and whisk lightly. Add syrup, Karo, melted butter, and mix to incorporate. Add the brown sugar, salt, flour and mix thoroughly. Add the bourbon and the chopped nuts. Place the prepared pie crust on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or foil. Pour the pecan mixture into the pie shell. Decorate with the pecan halves on top. Place in preheated oven for 15 min. Turn the oven down to 350º and continue baking until it test clean in the center and springs back when lightly touched. Cool for at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in refrigerator and bring it back to room temperature before serving.
