3 cups sifted plain flour
3 cups sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 pint sour cream
6 eggs
1/4 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar
Add sour cream and eggs
Mix flour and soda
Combine both mixtures
Add vanilla and lemon flavoring.
Reserve 1/2 cup of batter and add 1/2 tsp of red food coloring.
Pour batter into prepared cake pan.
Take reserved batter and lightly spread into cake batter. (This will give a pink swirl in the cake. You can omit this step and have no pink swirl)
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
