1 c. spry (shortening)
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. raisins
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cloves

4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together shortening, sugar, water, raisins and spices, then boil for 5 minutes. When cooled add to mixture of flour and baking soda. Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
