1 pkg (16 oz) breakfast sausage, such as Bob Evans Original or Maple
2 apples, cored and sliced thin
2 Tbsp butter
1/4 C dried cranberries
1/2 C orange juice
1 tsp orange zest
1 loaf (16 oz) hearty white bread cut into 1 inch slices
3 C whole milk
6 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
maple syrup

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook sausage until browned.
Drain.
In same skillet melt butter.
Add apple slices and saute until tender, about 5 minutes.
Add cranberries, orange juice and zest, and simmer 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in sausage.
Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking oil spray.
Overlap bread slices in pan to fit.
Spoon suasage and apple mixture on top and in between bread slices.
In bowl, whisk milk, eggs and cinnamon until well blended.
Pour over bread and sausage.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, preheat oven to 350º.
Uncover pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until brownd and custard is set.
Serve with maple syrup.
