1- Deep Dish Graham Cracker crust, either fresh or pre-made.
5-eggs, separated into separate bowls (whites will be used in the maringue)
2- cans, 14oz, of sweetened condensed milk
1 1/4 Cups fresh Lemon Juice, approx 5 lemons. Zest lemons before juicing.

for Meringue:
4 egg whites (no yolks)
1/4 Cup sugar
1 tsp Vanila

preheat oven 350º

With electric mixer, mix egg yolks until doubled in volume and light yellow color.
Add the condensed milk in the mixer until incorporated.

Gradually add lemon juice and zest, beat well and pour into crust.

Bake for 10 minutes

Cool completely

Beat egg whites in a very clean bowl and beater. (no trace of oil or egg yolks)
Slowly add sugar while beating, then
add vanilla. Beat until mixture forms peaks. Do not overbeat or they will be dry.
spoon onto pie.

Bake for 15 minutes, until peaks are brown.

Cool and then can be refrigerated.
