3 cups sugar
1⁄2 tsp salt
1 cup butter (softened) 1⁄2 Crisco
5 eggs
Glaze:
1⁄4 cup butter Lemon juice
2 Tbl. Lemon extract 1 cup milk
3 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 box powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, salt, butter and Crisco until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flavoring. Alternate adding the flour and milk; mix well. Pour into greased and floured 10” tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and check to see in it is done. Continue cooking 5 to 10 minutes until it is done. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Glaze:
Mix all three ingredients well. Drizzle over cooled cake.
