1 cake or 1 pkg yeast
1 to 3 c milk
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
2 c sifted and warmed all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk with butter and sugar and cool to 90ºF. Drop yeast in cooled milk. Let stand 20 min. Beat in 2 c flour until full of bubbles and add beaten egg and salt. Combine and add enough flour to make a soft dough. turn on floured board and knead lightly until smooth. Place in greased bowl to rise. When double in size shape in small rolls and let rise again until double in bulk. Bake in 400ºF oven 15 to 20 min depending on size of bun.
