3/4 c margarine (not butter)
1 tsp real vanilla
1 Tbsp water
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 c sugar
2 c sifted cake flour
1 c (6 oz) choc chips
1 cup pecans, chopped
powdered sugar to coat

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine, vanilla, water, salt, sugar until well blended; mix in flour. Stir in choc chips and pecans. Place in refrigerator for 20 min to chill. Form 1 in balls; place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 300 degree oven for 30 min. Cool slightly; sift powdered sugar over cookies to coat.

These are Dad's favorite Christmas cookies. Legend has it that he snuck into Grandma Overdorf's freezer to eat these and learned to love them frozen. That's generally how I serve them-straight from the freezer-they really are snowballs.
