"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
As mom grew older she would make these often, and would use a cup that had a pressed decoration on the bottom to flatten, to make them pretty. See if you can find a cup like that to impress people with how they appear! Grandma Janet was a special lady and we all remember her fondly. I love the story about the prank caller who was trying to scare her, and she said, "I'll leave the porch light on for you sweetie"!
