2/3 c. Hershey's Cocoa
3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Thoroughly combine cocoa, sugar & salt in heavy 4-qt. saucepan; stir in milk. 2. Bring to rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring to 234º (soft-ball stage) or until a small amount of mixture dropped into cold water forms a soft ball which flattens on removal from water. (Bulb of candy thermometer should not rest on bottom of saucepan.)
3. Remove from heat; add butter & vanilla. DO NOT STIR. Cool at room temperature to 110º; beat until fudge thickens & loses some of it's gloss.
4. Quickly spread in lightly buttered 8- or 9-inch square pan; cool.
5. Cut into squares.

Personal Notes:
I have searched for the fudge recipe my mom always made. All I remember was that it was always on the can of Hershey's cocoa. I contacted Hershey's & this is the recipe they said was on the can. So, I am assuming that this is the same recipe that I grew up absolutely loving because it was a harder fudge instead of a softer creamy fudge like I make today.
Mom always poured hers out onto a buttered meat platter, I have no idea why.
