4 T butter
2 T cornstarch
1 m lemon - juiced (7 large lemons if cooking for me)
2 c milk
1/2 c mayonnaise
Salt & pepper
2 c diced, cooked ham
1 can asparagus
1 DEEP DISH pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pie shell until golden

Heat butter - add cornstarch & salt and pepper - mix well. Add lemon juice and mayonnaise - mix well. Add milk, slowly - whisking until smooth and thick. No need to cook for very long.

Place drained asparagus and ham in pie crust - top with milk mixture, then top with grated cheese.
