2 1/2 C sugar
1/2 C butter
5 oz evaporated milk
1 12 oz package of baking chips (whichever type you want)
1 7 oz jar of marshmallow creme
1 tsp vanilla
1 C nuts, chopped (optional....usually walnuts, but could use pecans, cashiews...)

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter, evaporated milk, and sugar in saucepan.
Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Boil 5 minutes at 234º on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat.
Add marshmallow creme and chips.
Beat with hand mixer until smooth.
Add in nuts if desired.

Pour into greased 13 x 9 pan.
Cool.

Grandpa Parent's favorite is chocolate walnut.
I've made chocolate mint, peanut butter, white chocolate....feel free to experiment with different baking chips and nuts.
