1 cup ground pecans
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
12 oz. chocolate chips

Directions:

Butter bottom of 9x13 pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly in pan; set aside. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly until candy thermometer reaches 300 degrees (hard crack). Pour mixture over pecans; spread out.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips; spread as they melt. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Lift toffee out of pan; break into bite-sized pieces. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
