1-2 lb. Lean hamburger
1 jar Heinz home-style mushroom gravy
1 (15 oz.) can peas and carrots (drained and rinsed)
2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 package Idahoan instant mashed potatoes (equiv. Orida frozen mashed potatoes. An easier way; pre-prepared mashed potatoes)

Brown hamburger and drain. Add gravy, canned veggies . Cover with a layer of mashed potatoes an inch or so thick. Cover potatoes with cheese. Cook at 350º for 30 min.

Making the mashed potatoes from scratch is not that difficult and is, of course, better. An added benefit to making them from scratch is that if Deborah is eating with you she will eat this with you. She does not do instant potatoes.
