MOUNDS CANDY


2 C coconut
2 C powdered sugar, sifted
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Chill overnight or at least 4 hours in refrigerator.

Melt 16 oz chocolate chips with 1-2 oz of paraffin wax in microwave until smooth. Dip pieces in chocolate, place on fresh waxed paper, using toothpicks. You may need more chocolate depending on size and thickness.

Hint: Don’t let the chilled pieces get too warm, or they are much more difficult to dip. If you must take a break, put the undipped back in the refrigerator.

Chill in refrigerator until set. Place in tins to keep fresh.


YIELD: 60 pieces
Recipe can easily be doubled

To make Almond Joy:

Stir in only ½ C chopped almonds. When dropping onto waxed paper, place whole almond on top and press down. Use milk chocolate chips for dipping.
