Cut elephant into bite-size pieces. This should take about two months. Add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about four weeks at 465º.
This will feed about 3,800 people. If more people are expected, add two rabbits.

Grandma put this recipe in an old United Methodist Church cookbook. She said she made this stew often.
