Pumpkin bread rolls Recipe

1 packet (3 T) yeast
1/4 C sugar
3 T melted butter
1 egg
1 C scalded milk
1/2 C pumpkin puree
1 tsp salt
3 3/4 C flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 6 ingredients together. Add salt and flour and mix in a bread mixer.

Bring dough into a bowl, cover and let rise until double in size (about 1 hour).

Pour out dough onto a slightly floured surface and cut into 16 even pieces. Shape as if making normal rolls. Cut 8 cuts into the sides of the rolls--not quite into the middle.

Let rise again about 15 minutes. Poke a small, round spoon handle or the like down in the middle of the roll, spread melted butter over top of them and then bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

These don't as much taste like pumpkin, they taste more like potato bread--a light, more sweeter bread roll.
