8 slices French bread
6 eggs
grated rind of 1 large orange
2/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. orange liqueur, if desired, or increase juice or rind
1 c. Half & Half
3 tbsps. sugar
4 tbsps. butter
Confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Lay bread slices evenly in a buttered 9-in. square pan. Combine eggs, orange rind, orange juice, liqueur, Half & Half and sugar. Pour over bread and dot with butter. Cover and refrigerate overnight. In the morning Preheat oven to 350º. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until puffed and set. Dust with confectioners' sugar. If desired, serve with a topping of butter and orange marmalade, melted together in microwave; or maple syrup.
