2 Sticks Imperial Margarine
1 C White Sugar
1 C Light Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 C Flour
2 C + 3 Tbsp pulverized Quick Oats
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 C Chocolate Chips
2 C Roughly Chopped English Walnuts
1 C Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Beat with an electric mixer the margarine and sugars together until fluffy and light in color. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Add the vanilla.
Mix together all dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, until well mixed.
Stir in the chips, nuts and raisins (nuts or raisins may be omitted if you do not like them) Some times I chill the dough for about an hour to make the dough more firm so that it doesn't flatten too quickly on the cookie sheet when baked
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned - approx. 8 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Move to wire racks to cool
