Ingredients:  
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 heaping cup of smashed bananas
Pinch of salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add mashed bananas and mix. Add flour with baking soda, salt, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Bake in well-greased loaf pan. Bake at 350º for one hour or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into loaf. Can take up to 10 additional minutes to be done.
