8 oz. spaghetti, broken into 2 inch pieces
2 Tbsp. butter
1/3 c. parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (15 1/2-oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 c. cottage cheese
4 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 350º
Cook spaghetti in salted water; drain.
Place in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
Stir in butter, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and egg until thoroughly mixed. Spread evenly in pan. sauté ground beef and onion in oil in a large pan until meat is brown; drain fat.
Stir in spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti layer, top with meat mixture
bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over bake 10 minutes longer until brown. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
