Pastry for 9-inch Two-Crust Pie
Crumb Topping:
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. firm margarine or butter
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

dash of salt

6 c. thinly sliced apples

2 tbsp. margarine or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 425º. Prepare pastry. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Stir in apples. Turn into pastry lined pie plate.

For crumb topping mix the flour, margarine and brown sugar until crumbly.

Put the crumbly topping on top of the apples.

Bake for 50 minutes. Cover topping with aluminum foil during last 10 minutes of baking.
