2 packages Rapid Rise (instant) rising yeast
4 1/4 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast and 3 3/4 c. flour in bowl. Set aside.

Stir milk, sugar and salt in saucepan until sugar is dissolved. Add butter and continue cooking on medium heat until butter is melted.

Add liquid to flour mixture. Add egg and beat.

Sprinkle flour on newspaper covered with wax paper. Put rest of flour in pile in middle of the paper. Add the dough and knead until sticky.

Place dough into greased bowl, cover and let rise until double in size. Punch dough down and let it rise again.

Once it has risen for the second time make a roll then flatten. Place in hot grease in frying pan. Cook on both sides until golden brown and done in middle. Place on plate, add butter and syrup.
