LOSE 10 pounds in 3 days!!

Day 1:
Breakfast: Black coffee or tea, 1/2 grapefruit, 1 slice of toast with 2 tbsp. of peanut butter
Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, coffee or tea
Dinner: 2 slices any type of meat (about 3 ounces) 1 cu string beans, 1 cup beets, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Day 2:
Breakfast: 1 egg, 1/2 banana, 1 slice toast, black coffee or tea
Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream

Day 3:
Breakfast: 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 small apple
Lunch: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice toast
Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

Per this little piece of history from the Heart Institute of Miami Beach, Florida, (4701 N Meridian Ave.) this must be followed exactly to work.

My thought is that Mom had this diet for her and Dad due to his heart condition.

It reads and I quote:

"This diet works on chemical breakdown and is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasonings. Where no quantity is given, there are no restrictions, other than common sense. (my favorite line)

In 3 days you will lose 10 lbs., After 3 days of dieting you can eat normal food, but do not overdo it. (another favorite) After your 4 days of normal eating, start back on your 3 day diet. You can lose up to 40 lbs in a month if you stick to it! This is a safe diet. REMEMBER: DO NOT SNACK IN BETWEEN MEALS"

I hope you enjoyed reading this later bit of history. Please follow this diet at your own risk. It sounds like a tough one!! ;) Mom and Dad Derenne were a great loving couple and mom was always trying to keep him in good health and improve his diet, which wasn't his favorite thing of course. He loved to eat and the unhealthy foods were some of his favorites! We were so fortunate to have some of the best God fearing, loving parents ever to set foot on this Earth.
