1 Cup of Shortening
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Egg
1 Cup of Molasses
2 TBsp of vinegar
5 Cups of flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. of salt
1 TBsp of Cinnamon
2 tsp of pumpkin spice or 1 tsp ginger and 1 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Mix wet ingredients together then gradually stir in the dry ingredients. Once mixed, let them all chill 3 hours. Bake cookies at 350º. Do not overbake and they'll stay softer. If you'd like them softer, add an additional egg or two.
