"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste
This recipe for Dump Bars, by Rin Antonsen, is from Brumbaugh Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
2 c. sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 5 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 c. oil 1 c. chocolate chips
Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips. Stir with a spoon until all ingredients are moistened. Put in a greased 9x13 cake pan. Sprinkle 1 c. chocolate chips over the top. Don't stir. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until done. Cut into bars while still warm.
I serve this warm with a scoop of ice cream. It's a crowd pleaser!
